Jim Manley's fantastic ballad called "Only In A Dream" ("Lip Trip" Album) is really great for practising
long phrases / breath and tone control / low - high range.

Jim has kindly let me display it here in it's entirety for you guys to download and practice if you so wish.

I've recorded it here for you to have a listen to,(I recorded this directly on to the computer, so the sound quality ain't great!)

The first version is 'as per the page,' and the second recording, is me practising the tune mostly tongued, up a semitone, ending on a high 'A'.

This is good practice for when you go back to the original key. It helps to make it seem easier!

For all you guys having trouble with slotting / tuning on high 'A', you'll know how difficult it is to get it in tune (especially after going through the whole low register section first!)
